A man recounts the horror moments of the events of September 11.. The building on top of him collapsed and miraculously escaped death

Pasquale Boselli fell from 15 floors when the North Tower of the World Trade Center collapsed in the events of September 11, 2001 in the United States of America.

He is one of only 16 survivors of the attack, which killed nearly 3,000 people.

Pasquale Boselli was on his way to his office at the World Trade Center on the morning of September 11, and only he and another person escaped falling from the upper floors. He boned one of his feet, and miraculously escaped death.

Speaking to 60 Minutes Australia, Pasquale said: "When you start thinking about the numbers, I don't really seem to be alive, I remember the moment the hijacked plane hit the 93rd floor of the North Tower."

He added that he and others went down the stairs quickly in an attempt to escape and met a group of firefighters who told them to keep going down the stairs until they reached the ground floor, and suddenly everything started shaking and he heard screaming from behind him, and then everything got dark.

Pascual continued running down the stairs in disbelief, then the ground began cracking and he had no choice but to take the fetal position and closed his eyes and then the concrete floor under him collapsed and he fell 15 floors.

Two hours later Pascual regained consciousness and screamed for help, and shortly afterwards a firefighter responded to his cries, and the firefighter said, "We have a civilian there."

But before he could be rescued, another fire broke out around Pasquale.

He says that he briefly considered using any sharp object to kill himself instead of being burned alive, but then a team of firefighters cleared the way to the place where he was trapped and managed to save him, one of the rescuers even teased him saying, "Man, you Heavy person. What is your name?

It took several months for Pascual's foot to fully heal, but the psychological scars still accompany him even though he was one of the luckiest people to survive the horrific event.
