They were a little less numerous than last week.

About 2,500 people - against 3,000 eight days ago - demonstrated on Saturday in the streets of Marseille to protest against the health pass, according to the prefecture.

But like last week, three people were arrested after it.

One was for carrying a prohibited weapon and two others for violence committed against police officers.

Elsewhere in the department, 2,200 people demonstrated in Aix-en-Provence.

The anti-sanitary passes were just over 140,000 in France, gathered in 215 different cities.

A level of mobilization down again slightly for this eighth consecutive Saturday of demonstrations.
