In the 'starting point' for the Democratic Party presidential nomination, Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myung won a landslide victory by recording more than half of the cumulative votes.

The governor's strategy to win a landslide victory in the Chungcheong region, which is called the 'rudder of the presidential election', and to be confirmed as the final candidate without a run-off vote by a majority of the votes is also expected to receive further strength.

In the Democratic Tournament held in Daejeon and Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province for two days from yesterday (4th) to today, Governor Lee received 21,47 out of 38,463 cumulative valid votes, recording 54.72% of the votes.

This is a figure that beats former CEO Lee Nak-yeon, who was in second place with 18.41 votes and 28.19% of the votes, by 26.53 percentage points.

Afterwards, former Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun came in third place with 2,711 votes, 7.05%, former Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae came in fourth place with 2,619 votes, 6.81%, Rep. Park Yong-jin with 911 votes, 2.37%, and Rep. Kim Du-gwan with 334 votes, 0.87% and placed 5th and 6th respectively.

The governor achieved a combined 54.81% in the Daejeon and Chungnam competitions yesterday, and also recorded 54.54% in today's Sejong and Chungbuk competitions, winning a majority of votes for two days in a row.

The other candidates received 29.72% of the votes for Sejong and North Chungcheong, followed by former President Lee with 29.72%, former Minister Choo with 7.09%, former Prime Minister Chung with 5.49%, Park with 2.22% and Kim with 0.93%.

Former Prime Minister Jeong achieved poor results that did not even reach the expected double-digit percentage of votes. In particular, in today's Sejong and North Chungcheong primary elections, he was also pushed to third place by former Minister Choo.

Judging from the voting results of the Rights Party members in the Sejong and Chungbuk regions, this branch also recorded the highest approval rating at 54.94%.

It was followed by former CEO Lee with 29.26% and former Minister Choo with 7.27%.

Former Prime Minister Chung 5.37%, Rep. Park 2.30%, and Rep. Kim 0.87% were in that order.

There is also an analysis that 'Lee Jae-myung's popular theory' has begun in earnest, as the results of voting by the right party members, so-called 'Party Sim', are not much different from the polls conducted so far.

In the delegate vote, Governor Lee received 43.87% of the vote and former representative 41.94%, followed by former Prime Minister Jeong 8.82%, former Minister Choo 2.58%, Rep. Kim 2.58%, and Rep. Park 0.22%.

After announcing the results, the governor met with reporters and said, "The approval rate is higher than expected."

Governor Lee also said, "The larger the parameter, the more collective intelligence is demonstrated," adding, "I will explain my position and future plans to make a reasonable judgment." I will try to do that,” he added.

Still, he lowered himself, saying, "Only a small percentage of the entire electoral college voted." He added, "I will continue to do my best to meet the expectations of the people and party members."

The Democratic Party will continue its circuit primaries in Daegu and Gyeongbuk on the 11th and Gangwon on the 12th.

In particular, on the 12th, the voting results of the 1st Electoral College of the People's and General Party members of about 640,000 people will be revealed in the Gangwon Tournament Primary Election.

Inside and outside the party, there are forecasts that the outline of the general election will be revealed to some extent in the Gangwon circuit on the 12th.

The Democratic primary election ends in Seoul on the 10th of next month, with delegates, rights party members, and the National Electoral College all casting the same one vote each.
