“The servicemen of Kazakhstan arrived in Belarus to participate in the joint strategic exercise“ West-2021 ”, says the Telegram channel of the Belarusian Defense Ministry.
Defense Minister of Belarus Viktor Khrenin in early August invited the Kazakh military to take part in the exercises.
The maneuvers will take place on the territory of Russia and Belarus from September 10 to 16.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that the Zapad-2021 exercises would be defensive in nature.
Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko noted that they are held exclusively for training and coordinating their own armed forces.
