This was reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Volgograd Region.
"According to preliminary information, the 31-year-old driver of Hyundai Solaris could not maintain a safe distance and collided with a Hyundai Accent car driven by a 30-year-old driver," the ministry said.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified that from the impact Hyundai Accent crashed into the light support, and Hyundai Solaris ran into a heating pipe.
"As a result of the accident, both drivers and three passengers of the Hyundai Accent car - a one-year-old girl and two women of 25 and 56 years old, were taken to the hospital with injuries," the press service said.
Earlier, in the area of the city of Salavat in Bashkiria, in a collision of a shuttle bus with a passenger car, one person died and four were injured.
