05 September 2021 The Dutch Max Verstappen won the Dutch GP with a perfect race always led in the lead.

Orange tide celebrating the success of the Red Bull home driver.

In second place the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton who only in the final can do the fastest lap, winning an additional point.



On the third step of the podium the other Silver Arrow by Valterri Bottas.

Fourth was the Alpha Tauri of an excellent Pierre Gasly who preceded the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc, who finished fifth, ahead of Fernando Alonso's Alpine and the second red of Carlos Sainz.



Eighth Sergio Perez on the other Red Bull who started from last place, with Esteban Ocon and Lando Norris closing the top ten. Good performance even if unlucky by Antonio Giovinazzi on the Alfa Romeo that precedes his teammate for this race, Robert Kubica, who had replaced Kimi Raikkonen found positive at Covid.



On the Dutch circuit of Zandvoort, where it is very difficult to overtake, the race was fairly straightforward with the top three finishers having a race on their own, lapping virtually everyone else. With this success the Dutch Verstappen, in his seventh victory of the season, returned to the top of the drivers' championship.



Verstappen: "It's amazing, extraordinary day"


"It's incredible, the expectations were very high on the eve of the race but it's never easy to live up to it. I'm very happy to have won and to have regained the lead in the standings." So Max Verstappen after his victory in the Dutch Grand Prix. "It's an extraordinary day, enjoying it with this crowd is incredible," explained the Red Bull driver. "It's a very positive day, we got off to a good start. Mercedes tried to make our lives difficult, but we managed everything well. We are very satisfied with the final result," added the Dutchman.



Hamilton: "Given everything, I couldn't have gone faster than this"


"It was a fantastic weekend, Max did a great job, I congratulate him. I gave it my all, I pushed from start to finish, I couldn't go faster than that," commented Lewis Hamilton. "I had a lot of fun. The traffic? It was difficult to find your way around and chase who is in front," explained the reigning world champion. "The fastest lap? It was one of the best moments of my race. It's one of my favorite tracks, I can't wait to go back," he added.
