In the details published on several Egyptian websites and newspapers, the Egyptian security services were able to wax and close a physiotherapy center owned by its owner, Youssef Khairy, known as “Plumber Al-Bunni Adamin”, for not having a permit, while it became clear that its owner is not registered as a member of the Physiotherapy Syndicate, and the authorities decided He was imprisoned for 15 days pending investigation.

Investigations indicated that the accused changed the profession on the national ID card from a graduate of physical education to the profession of a physiotherapist, as he forged his graduation certificate to write that he was a Cambridge University graduate.

The owner of the center was always appearing in the various media to promote himself, with his ability to treat patients with back pain, neck and joint pain, and treat tendonitis, nerves and disc by “cracking and cracking” parts of the body.

"Plumber Bani Adamin", a nickname he gave himself, describing his practice of treating orthopedics with the "cracking" system, marketing himself through many videos posted on social networking sites, showing how to treat bone vertebrae by manually pressing them.

According to "Al Arabiya Net", the accused succeeded in deceiving a number of artists and celebrities and took advantage of their need for treatment, and obtained large sums of money from them, and took pictures of them inside the center and promoted himself through these pictures through social networking sites, which prompted many patients to deal with him and reassure his efficiency.

For his part, the head of the Physicians Syndicate, Sami Saad, explained that the union received many complaints against the accused, including a complaint by one of the famous artists, who confirmed that she was almost paralyzed.

Saad added that the syndicate discovered that the accused was not bound by its schedules, and did not graduate from the Faculty of Physiotherapy, so the authorities were informed, who rushed and launched a raid campaign to the center and arrested Youssef Khairy and closed his center.

In statements to the "Sky News Arabia" website, the Egyptian actress Sandy highlighted her tragedy and her bitter experience with the "Plumber Al-Bunni Adamin", and she tweeted through her account on "Twitter", that Youssef Khairy is "a fraudulent person, not a physiotherapist."

Sandy wrote: "He caused me an injury that almost led to a quadriplegia, because the cartilage touched the spinal cord, and if it was cut, I would have been paralyzed, God forbid."

Commenting on this, Dr. Ezzat Al-Hawi, professor of orthopedic and spine surgeon at Ain Shams University, said that what the person who calls himself “a human plumber” did is a very big mistake, and is not based on science or experience, in addition to that it is very harmful to bones and health. generally.

Al-Hawi added to the Egyptian newspaper, Al-Watan, that tampering with the bones of the body through “cracking” only benefits those who are free from diseases, and if it does, it benefits people who do not have a disease, who has just fatigue, but “cracking” does not treat any disease. .

For her part, Dr. Salwa Alaa, a physical therapist, said that a person who practices any form of physical therapy must be qualified and educated, because the wrong movement can damage the spinal cord.

She added to "Al-Watan" that whoever claims to be a "Plumber for Humans" could have inflicted a paraplegic or quadriplegic, given that they are dangerous movements and are not allowed to be carried out.

For his part, Lawyer Ashraf Farhat, a legal expert, explained that the punishment awaiting the owner of the incident known in the media as “the Al-Bunni Adamian plumber” is determined according to the accusation against the owner of the center, whether it is a charge of impersonation, opening a center without a license, or forging a national ID card, according to the statement. Egyptian newspaper Al-Watan.

He pointed out that the Public Stores Law No. 154 of 2019 stipulates that the penalty for anyone who operates a shop without a license is a fine of not less than 20,000 pounds and not more than 50,000 pounds, and Article 30 of the same law stipulates that the penalty will be imprisonment for a period of time. Not less than 6 months and not more than a year or one of these two penalties, in addition to closing the shop at the expense of the violator.

Regarding the expected penalty, if a person uses unlicensed medical facilities, lawyer Mahmoud Al-Hadidi said that the penalties stipulated in Egyptian law, in such incidents, the law stipulated a penalty of up to imprisonment.
