BTS, BTS member Jimin's Chinese fans raised money to fly an airplane covered with Jimin's photos, but his account on social media Weibo was suspended.

According to Observer Network, a Chinese media, a Chinese fan club of Jimin released a photo yesterday saying that a Jeju Air plane decorated with Jimin's face and happy birthday phrases started operating in Korea.

The aircraft will operate for three months, and a happy birthday advertisement appeared on the aircraft's boarding pass and in-flight paper cups.

On October 13, the day of Jimin's birthday, fans plan to place advertisements in the New York Times in the US and The Times in the UK.

Jimin's fans previously raised money on the portal site to celebrate his birthday in April, and in one hour, it was 2.3 million yuan, or more than 400 million won in our money.

However, as criticism poured in online after Jimin's fans reported the aircraft's birthday event, Weibo, a Chinese Twitter account, suspended Jimin's fans' accounts for 60 days, and also deleted posts related to the birthday event.

Weibo also said, "We will firmly oppose and strictly deal with irrational star-following acts."

The incident is drawing attention as China launches a strong crackdown on its excessive celebrity fandom.

In China, BTS received negative criticism from the Chinese media and netizens for its remarks related to the Korean War in October last year.
