Algeria reopens sports facilities on condition of presenting a health passport

The Ministry of Youth and Sports in Algeria announced today, the reopening of all sports facilities and the resumption of sports activities and competitions, starting tomorrow, Monday.

In a statement published on its Facebook page, the Ministry explained that the opening of all sports facilities came after the approval of the Prime Minister (the Prime Minister), but on the condition that the health passport that proves the receipt of the vaccine by the officials and users of these facilities and strict compliance with the approved health protocol are presented.

She also noted that this decision will allow the Algerian teams to prepare in the best conditions for important sports competitions, especially the Mediterranean Games hosted by the western city of Oran in the summer of 2022.

It is noteworthy that Algeria had suspended sports activity in the country in mid-March 2020, against the background of the outbreak of the Corona virus, and only allowed a conditional return to the football league, while allowing international athletes to resume preparations in anticipation of important international dates.
