There were 7 newly imported confirmed cases in the province. Guangzhou reported 4 cases from Myanmar, the Philippines, Malaysia and Morocco; Foshan reported 3 cases from Sri Lanka, South Sudan and Gabon.
There were 11 newly imported cases of asymptomatic infections imported from abroad, 7 cases were reported in Guangzhou, 2 cases were from Indonesia, and the remaining 5 cases were from Myanmar, Bahrain, UAE, Djibouti and Cameroon; 3 cases were reported in Shenzhen, 2 cases were from Kenya, and 1 case was from Indonesia ; Foshan reported 1 case, from Gabon.
9 new cases were discharged.
As of 24:00 on September 5, Guangdong Province has reported a total of 3,094 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia (1,527 imported from abroad).
71 cases are currently in hospital.
