The corona incidence in Hesse continued to rise overnight.
According to the Ministry of Social Affairs, it is now a good 116 after 110 the previous day and 22 four weeks ago.
In Germany, the central index is on average just above 83. Hessen now has the highest incidence in Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia follows in second place with just under 115, followed by Bremen with 110;
Rhineland-Palatinate has 95.

In its Corona update, the Ministry of Social Affairs reports 1061 new confirmed positive PCR tests, four weeks ago there were 226 cases. Since the pandemic began in March of last year, 314,355 people in Hesse have officially been infected with a variant of the corona virus. According to the ministry and the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), 7,640 people died of or with Covid-19; one death was reported overnight.
Offenbach, with an incidence of 212, is still one of the five municipalities in Germany with the highest index.
The municipality is in fourth place, as can be read on the RKI website.
Kassel and Frankfurt follow in Hesse with 163 and 159. In these cities, too, the incidence continues to rise.
According to the Frankfurt virologist Sandra Ciesek, it is still the earliest parameter for assessing the pandemic.
Because high incidences result in more Covid 19 patients in clinics.
A good 65 percent of people in Hesse have been vaccinated against Corona once.
Exactly 60 percent are considered vaccinated;
in the federal government it is 61 percent, according to the RKI.
The incidence is particularly high in the unvaccinated.
Therefore, from Monday onwards, the country will also break down this code according to vaccinated and non-vaccinated persons.
