He said that overseas Chinese businessmen must persist in building bridges with overseas Chinese and attracting overseas Chinese, and actively connect the two international and domestic markets and two resources, so that more high-quality Fujian products can go to the world.
Fujian is an important node in the construction of the "Belt and Road". The vast number of overseas Chinese businessmen must play a good role as a bridge and link to attract more outstanding talents, funds, and projects to gather in Fujian.
The first China Overseas Chinese Investment (Fujian) Conference is being held in Fuzhou, with 200 overseas Chinese businessmen attending the conference.
During his attendance at the conference, Xu Rongmao said that he believes this event will be a "assembly number" that can gather the strength of the overseas Chinese community and make new contributions.
He said that Fujian has a beautiful ecological environment, rich red resources, obvious policy advantages, and a superior business environment. Nearly 16 million overseas Fujianese nationals are important resources for Fujian's high-quality development.
"Overseas Chinese businessmen participate in Fujian's construction, demanding innovation, seeking excellence, and seeking common ground." Xu Rongmao said that in terms of boosting Fujian's innovation and development, overseas Chinese businessmen also have a lot to do in terms of telling Fujian stories well.
From April to June this year, Xu Rongmao led a team to organize two groups of more than one hundred overseas Chinese businessmen to come to Fujian for on-site inspections, and facilitated the signing of a number of industrial projects and scientific and technological projects.
The investment projects of this conference gathered in the fields of electronic information, equipment manufacturing, new energy, new materials, marine economy, digital industry, commerce and logistics, and the signing amount was more than 180 billion yuan.
These achievements demonstrate the new opportunities for Fujian's innovation and development, and also demonstrate the feelings of overseas Chinese businessmen to return to Sangzi and invest in business.
Xu Rongmao believes that technological innovation will be an important driving force for Fujian's development.
