Facilitate the expulsion of foreign Islamists, widening of the offense of "intelligence with the enemy" ...: the boss of the Île-de-France region with presidential ambition, Valérie Pécresse, details a series of measures for " countering the "Islamist threat in an interview with the Journal du Dimanche.

Out of 22,000 people registered for radicalization, "a quarter are foreigners" and "we must expel all these foreigners who present a threat to public order in France", underlines Ms. Pécresse in particular.

"In the 1980s, we expelled between 1,000 and 1,500 people per year. It is absolutely necessary to reactivate this policy of expulsion in absolute urgency for the threat of disturbing public order," she adds in this interview.

On the eve of the opening of the trial of the attacks of November 13, 2015, Ms. Pécresse proposes to use "an offense that exists in the penal code: intelligence with the enemy", planned for wartime, for the 'expand "to the fight against terrorism".

This would, according to her, "help justice to condemn those who have participated in meetings with terrorists, liked sites on social networks or defended terrorism ... When one is stuck by anti-terrorism, c 'is on the basis of objective facts ".

The candidate for the investiture of the right and the center for the presidential election of 2022 also proposes to require an "oath of respect for the values ​​of the Republic" in "all public functions, whether state, territorial or hospital, including for contract workers ".

"It is more than a symbol, it is a necessary commitment with legal consequences, because today, administrations or public enterprises do not have the right to dismiss or dismiss a radicalized civil servant," he adds. -she.

The president of the Île-de-France region is also calling for the "penalization" of constraints aimed at forcing women or young girls to wear a veil, which "is not a garment like any other".

Ms. Pécresse, who declares herself "ready to pass these bills within three months of our coming to power", also takes a position for the use of "facial recognition at the entrance of public transport to match with the files anti-terrorism ".

On this subject Emmanuel Macron "has evolved and become aware of the situation. But there were still three years of blindness which made us fall far behind," she believes.

Valérie Pécresse also ensures not to "harden her speech" in view of the presidential term, adding that "a large part of these proposals, I made them five years ago".
