The coalition announced on Saturday that it had thwarted attacks by ballistic missiles and booby-trapped drones targeting eastern and southern Saudi Arabia, while it was reported that Houthi sites in Yemen had been subjected to raids by coalition aircraft.

And the Saudi Press Agency quoted the coalition - late on Saturday evening - that it had intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile towards Jazan (southern of the Kingdom).

Before that, Saudi TV had announced that it had thwarted an attack with a ballistic missile fired towards the eastern region.

No damage to the eastern region

Reuters quoted a source as saying that Aramco's oil facilities in the Eastern Province were not affected by the missile attack.

And earlier on Saturday, Saudi media said that the coalition had intercepted and destroyed 3 booby-trapped drones that were launched towards the Kingdom, and a ballistic missile was launched towards Jazan.

For its part, Houthi media said that the coalition launched 25 raids on Saturday on sites in the Yemeni governorates of Ma'rib and Saada.

And last Tuesday, the Houthis targeted Abha airport (southwest of Saudi Arabia) with a booby-trapped drone, injuring 8 civilians and damaging a commercial airliner.

The coalition responded by bombing a mobile platform used by the Houthis to launch drones from the Yemeni capital, Sanaa.
