It was on 16 August this year that a suspected assassination attempt occurred in Rydboholm, nine kilometers south of Borås.
The 43-year-old man from Borås who was arrested after the incident has now been remanded in custody.
The man is suspected of having opened fire on a person in a car.
The investigation continues
The work with the investigation continues and according to Borås Tidning, a woman in the man's vicinity is suspected of involvement in what followed the shooting.
The woman is suspected of protecting criminals in connection with the situation that arose when the National Task Force was called to the suspect's home where he locked himself in after the act.
The prosecutor now has until September 16 to bring charges.
