There were fewer participants than usual in this year's Vätternrunda - but all the tougher.

Instead of cycling on a bright June night, the race this year took place in the cold of September.

In addition, there was a completely new route, to be able to avoid traffic on narrow roads.

And it contained a lot of slopes.

"Just back straight up"

- It was just slopes straight up.

And they never ended.

I think it was four kilometers.

Just up.

Really, says Emma Lindström from Enköping in the depot stop at Godegård's school, just after Dalbybackarna.

"You must not think you are an elite cyclist"

- Ah, if you take it easy, to your own ability, there are no problems, countered Arne Andersson from Motala who drove the Vättern Round for the fifth time.

Does that sound supportive?

- No, but you have to like the situation and not think that you are an elite cyclist.

Without being allowed to drive according to ability.

In the video, you will hear more strong reactions after the "killer slopes" - and know what Maria from Västerås thought about her 60th birthday present: Cycling all Friday night in the dark and cold before it came four kilometers uphill.
