In light of the fuel crisis that Lebanon is currently experiencing, and in a new scene added to the fuel stations, Friday prayers were held, today, inside the Coral fuel station in the Jiyeh area, south of Beirut, in a new scene of protests against that crisis.

Sheikh Ali Al-Hussein, who invited the worshipers, said, "Today's Friday sermon is held in front of the gas station, as it reflects the most realistic and clearest picture of people and their suffering."

He added, "This is a call for politicians to concede... Lebanon no longer has the ability to bear it. You must facilitate the issue of the government and its formation."

Sheikh Ali Al-Hussein added that most basic commodities such as medicine and oil are missing in Lebanon at the present time, and that Lebanese citizens do not find what they need.

Lebanon is currently facing "the worst economic crisis the world has witnessed in a century and a half", according to the World Bank's description;

This is due to the deterioration of the financial situation since the fall of 2019, and the value of the national currency depreciated more than 10 times against the US dollar, which led to an increase in the prices of unsubsidized products by more than 400%.

Lebanese President Michel Aoun commissioned former Prime Minister Najib Mikati to form the new government after a year in which two attempts to form a Lebanese government that would take on the task of extricating the country from the spiral of accelerating economic collapse failed.

Thus, Mikati will be the third personality after Ambassador Mustafa Adib and former Prime Minister Saad Hariri, who is tasked by Aoun to form a Lebanese government, following the resignation of Hassan Diab’s government, against the background of the explosion of Beirut Port on August 4, 2020, which killed more than two hundred people and injured more than 6,500. injured.
