The Carabinieri of the Ottana Company and colleagues from the Nuoro Operational Department arrived on the spot, with the magistrate on duty from the Oristano Prosecutor's Office. Luigi Cherchi, a 67-year-old farmer, is the victim of the murder, surprised by the killers in his countryside, along the provincial road 33 that leads from Noragugume to Ottana. Cherchi belongs to a family involved in the bloody feud that began in the town of central Sardinia in the late 90s, years in which two of his brothers, Giuseppe and Salvatore, were killed.
