The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced the death of a Palestinian youth and the injury of 15 others - including 5 children - in confrontations with the Israeli occupation army during night marches near the separation fence on the eastern border of the Strip.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza stated in a statement that among the injuries, 5 were shot with live bullets, one of them was serious, a child was wounded east of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, 4 were described as moderate, and 10 were lightly wounded by shrapnel and tear gas canisters.

Medical sources stated that the martyr is Ahmed Mustafa Saleh (26 years old), from Jabalia camp (northern Gaza Strip), who died as a result of being hit by live bullets during the Israeli army's suppression of the night demonstrations.

On the other hand, the Israeli army said that more than a thousand Palestinians crowded the border, throwing explosives and setting tires on fire.

The army added in a statement that "the defense forces deployed in the area use riot-dispersal means, including live ammunition when necessary and 22-caliber bullets."

For the sixth day in a row, Palestinian youths continued to organize "night confusion" demonstrations, which began on Saturday, in protest against the continued Israeli siege and the imposition of economic sanctions on the residents of the Gaza Strip.

Thursday's demonstrations were described as the largest, as they included all the governorates of Gaza simultaneously, after they were concentrated during the previous days in each governorate separately.

The Palestinian factions stressed the continuation of the popular activities to pressure the occupation until the lifting of the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, while the occupation forces continue to suppress the protesters, bringing the total injuries among Palestinians since Saturday to 56, ranging from live and rubber bullets, shrapnel, and tear gas canisters.
