Moroccan international attacking midfielder Amine Harit, 24, was loaned to Olympique de Marseille for a year without an option to buy from German club Schalke 04, relegated to the second division, OM announced on Thursday.

"After the success of his medical examination, Amine signed up with the Olympian club for a one-year loan without an option to buy", explains the Marseille club on its website.

"A fine dribbler, blaster, he likes to strike and make differences as he approaches the opponent's surface," continues OM, where he can play attacking midfielder, in the center or on the wings.

Trained in Nantes, with whom he made his Ligue 1 debut in August 2016, Arit joined Schalke 04 in the summer of 2017, discovering the Bundesliga at only 20 years old.

With 31 games played for three goals and six assists in his first season, he was voted "best rookie of the year".

Moroccan international (11 caps), Amine Harit played in the 2018 World Cup in Russia with the Atlas Lions.
