As he was about to return to the depot, a TCL bus of the C20 line was the target of several shots on Wednesday evening.
The attack took place around 9:30 p.m. in the town of Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon, near Lyon, reveals the Actu 17 site.
Miraculously, the driver, alone in the vehicle at the time, was not injured while several bullets lodged in the vehicle window.
Four impacts were noted.
The machine was out of service, which is why it was not carrying any passengers.
The shocked driver suffered 5 days of ITT.
An investigation is underway to identify the fencer (s) and their motivations.
