Election campaigns in Germany can be pleasantly calm.

When the moderators of the first TV triall asked the candidates for chancellor why they did not see the other candidates as chancellor, Annalena Baerbock, Armin Laschet and Olaf Scholz preferred to talk about their own strengths rather than the weaknesses of the others.

Election campaigns in Germany can also be uncomfortable, calm, downright sleepy.

Angela Merkel may resign as Chancellor after 16 years - her political style of avoiding controversy and not offering too much target seems to remain.

The candidates are evidently so afraid of the next stumbling block that they sometimes hardly dare to take a step.

Political reporting, however, thrives on the political debate.

And the voters also help a real battle before the election to form an opinion as to which candidates and concepts they trust.

If it does not happen, many questions remain unanswered.

That is why we ask you, our readers, what interests you today.
