Heir to the throne of Belgium, Princess Elizabeth, will study history and politics at this university

The royal palace in Belgium, the small European country, announced today, Tuesday, that Princess Elizabeth, the heir to the throne of the country, will begin her studies at Oxford University in October.

The Duchess of Brabant, 19, is the heir to the crown from her father, King Philip, and her mother is Queen Matilda until now.

Elizabeth is set to complete a three-year course in history and politics at Britain's prestigious Lincoln College, according to a statement from the Belgian royal palace.

The princess attended boarding school at United World College of the Atlantic (UWC) in Wales, where she received her IB/Secondary Certificate in 2020.

"Princess Elizabeth will return regularly to Belgium and will remain involved in Belgian public life through activities whether alone, with His Majesty or her family," the palace said.
