Since 2006, the ambulance on Gotland has been run privately and Samariten Ambulance currently has agreements with two districts in the Stockholm Region.
In addition, the company has also won a district in Region Östergötland's procurement from 2023.
- The region's focus in the procurement has been to ensure the quality of operations through increased competence requirements and higher requirements for continuous training for the crews, says Marie Loob, director of health and medical care on Gotland, in a press release.
The new agreement starts on 1 May 2022 and is valid for four years.
The ambulance service is already run by Falck Ambulance.
