“The presidents of the two countries discussed the situation in Afghanistan and its consequences for Central Asia,” the message says.

As specified, the leaders expressed their desire to "work together for the sake of security and stability in the region."

It is also noted that France and Kazakhstan share the desire to strengthen cooperation in the interests of international security, as well as for sustainable economic growth. 

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov and Pakistani Ambassador to Moscow Shafkat Ali Khan discussed the situation in Afghanistan.
