Already for about five years, Lindesberg Energy, the municipal housing company Libo and the real estate company Falab, as well as the municipality, have invested in charging posts for electric cars.

- We made a joint decision on a public network for electric car charging in Lindesberg.

That thing with the chicken and the egg.

You do not build electric car chargers if there are no electric cars - or you do not buy an electric car if there are no chargers.

In retrospect, we were far-sighted together and made an important decision, says Jens Isemo, CEO of Linde Energy.

Government grant for conversion

Today, there are 32 public chargers in 16 places in the municipality.

The expansion took place in part with the help of the government grant Klimatklivet - a support for local and regional investments that will reduce carbon dioxide emissions and other gases that affect the climate.

- I think that these supports are required in a change, because the economy does not bear in the beginning if you have to rebuild things for which there is no market.

We must all contribute to a change and in some cases the public sector must take the lead, says Jens Isemo.
