Colombia's coronavirus strains are listed by WHO for monitoring

According to the data presented by the organization, the corresponding strain is designated by the letter of the Greek alphabet "mu" and ranks next to other strains in this category.

It is noted that the strains in this group have changes that can affect "such characteristics of the virus as infectiousness, the severity of the course of the disease, the ability to avoid the effects of immunity, and to avoid diagnosis and therapy."

Earlier, the WHO representative in Russia Melita Vujnovich said that the organization does not consider the situation with the danger of new strains of coronavirus for children alarming.
