The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced that its forces have completed their withdrawal from Afghanistan after 20 years of invading the country, and Kabul International Airport witnessed celebrations for the departure of the last American plane.

And the commander of the US Central Command, General Kenneth McKenzie, said during a video sharing at the ministry's press conference on Monday evening that the US ambassador is on the last flight that left from Afghanistan.

He added that US and coalition military aircraft had evacuated more than 123,000 civilians.

Meanwhile, shooting took place in the vicinity of Kabul Airport to celebrate the departure of the last American plane, and Taliban sources said that the airport was completely under their control.

Agence France-Presse reporters heard ceremonial shooting from several locations in the capital where Taliban fighters are stationed, while comrades cheered as they crossed the barriers leading to the Green Zone.

We are making history again, and the US and NATO's 20-year occupation of Afghanistan ends tonight.

God is great, God is great, there is no god but God, God is great, and praise be to God.

I am very happy to see these historic moments after 20 years of jihad sacrifices and hardships.

I pray the souls of all the martyrs of jihad.
