The poll results after the debate showed that the Social Democrat candidate Schultz led the other two candidates Bell Burke (30%) and Raschelt (25%) with a 36% approval rate.

  Three candidates representing the Coalition Party, the Social Democratic Party, and the Green Party, Raschelt, Scholtz, and Belburk participated in the first live televised debate jointly organized by RTL and ntv television on the evening of the 29th.

In the nearly two-hour debate, the three candidates launched a fierce attack and defense on issues such as the Afghanistan issue, climate change, and the new crown epidemic.

Before the election on September 26, the three will also participate in two live debates hosted by different TV stations.

  After the first debate, RTL and ntv television commissioned the German Fosa Public Opinion Survey to conduct a random sample survey of 2,520 viewers in the country who watched the debate.
