  Ceballos pointed out that although the delta variant is not the main virus strain for newly confirmed cases, the number of confirmed cases is gradually increasing, the delta variant continues to spread across the country, and the third wave of epidemics may have begun.

  Ceballos once again called on people to receive two doses of the new crown vaccine and continue to comply with biosafety measures to reduce the risk of infection.

  As of 6 pm on the 29th, Peru has received more than 18.37 million doses of the new crown vaccine, more than 10.28 million people received the first dose of the vaccine, and more than 8.08 million people received two doses of the vaccine.
