Journalists of the Ukrainian media closed by the decision of the NSDC turned to Biden

According to TASS, journalists called on the American leader to state his position on the "destruction of freedom of speech in Ukraine."

The demonstration involves employees of three channels in Ukraine - 112 Ukraine, NEWSONE and ZIK - which were closed in February due to the imposition of sanctions against their owner Taras Kozak.

Last week it became known about the intentions of hundreds of journalists from media outlets closed in Ukraine to hold a rally near the building of the National Opera in Kiev.

Thus, the journalists hoped to draw the attention of the participants of the Crimean Platform forum to the situation with the closure of media in the country.

On August 21, the Ukrainian newspaper STRANA.ua announced the blocking of the portal after the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) on sanctions against it.
