U.S. special representative for North Korea Sung Kim said that he was looking forward to North Korea's reply, saying that he had discussed ways to provide humanitarian aid to North Korea with South Korea.



After meeting with Kyu-duk Noh, head of the Korean Peninsula Peace Negotiation Headquarters, who was visiting the US at the State Department in Washington, D.C., President Kim said this to the correspondents.



Kim emphasized that he and Roh shared various ideas, including awareness of the local situation in North Korea and the possibility of humanitarian assistance.



"We reaffirmed our joint commitment to pursue the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula through diplomacy," he added. "I look forward to a reply from North Korea."



Director Roh also said, "We have been discussing areas where the ROK and the United States can jointly promote humanitarian aid to North Korea, and we have also been discussing inter-Korean cooperation projects. "He said.
