Former women's volleyball team coach Stefano Lavarini, who led the Korean women's volleyball team to the Olympic quarterfinals, said that he is thinking of a possible direction to work with the Korean national team in the future.



After the Olympics, coach Lavarini, who returned to the Italian league Novara, said in a video interview with the SBS YouTube channel Video Mug that he was talking with the Korean Volleyball Association about this.



Currently, the Korea Volleyball Association has requested a renewal of the contract with coach Lavarini, whose contract has expired, to lead the Korean women's volleyball team until the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou. This is the first time.



Coach Lavarini said the victory over Korea and Japan was the most impressive moment in the Olympics because it was the most important match and because the Korean team felt stronger and valued it when they played against Japan.




Regarding Kim Yeon-kyung, he praised him as the greatest player in volleyball history and said that he was happy to work with Kim Yeon-kyung because of his volleyball skills as well as his leadership qualities and human qualities.



Regarding the Korean team's Olympic semifinals, coach Labarani said that although they didn't win a medal, the Korean team went beyond their limits.
