Rocket attack near Kabul airport in Afghanistan... "At least one person died"

Foreign media such as AFP, AP, Reuters reported that there was a rocket attack near Kabul Airport, the capital of Afghanistan on the 29th local time.

On SNS, a scene video of black smoke rising immediately after the rocket attack was released.

Afghan government security personnel stationed at the scene said the explosion was caused by a rocket attack, AFP news agency reported.

Afghan police chief Rashid Rashid said the rocket landed northwest of Kabul airport, killing a child.

Citing multiple US officials, Reuters reported that the US had launched a military strike against the extremist Islamic State (IS).

A Taliban spokesperson said the US had targeted suicide bombers at Kabul airport.
