Adelante, a brand refounded by Anticapitalistas, Primavera Andaluza, Izquierda Andalucista and Defender Andalucía after the schism experienced in said group in the Andalusian Parliament, has reported this Sunday that the mayor of Cádiz,

José María González 'Kichi',

has donated since 2015

some 92,464 euros

of the surplus of his salary as a provincial deputy that he has maintained for six years.

It should be remembered that González, without salary from the City Council, donates each month

between 40 and 47 percent of his allocation in the Provincial Council

"to fulfill his personal commitment: to collect 1,880 euros, the same salary that he received as a high school teacher before to enter the institutions ".

This commitment, together with the

rejection of perks such as personal escort or official car

for discretionary use, complete the "ethical commitment" of the municipal candidacy that led González to the Mayor's Office of Cádiz.

"We have not come to enrich ourselves with politics, but to fight for our people," in his own words.

For this reason, and although these donations are not the solution, they do contribute to the recognition and support of the work and the struggle of these groups, "he defends.

González also recalls that "these donations

reinforce our collective commitment

to donate the remaining part of salaries that are very far from the reality of our people and contribute with those resources to continue building change from outside the institutions."

González dedicated to these donations (16,140 euros in 2020, another 16,140 in 2019, 17,774 euros in 2018; 14,288 euros in 2017; and 16,511 euros, in 2016).

When he was elected mayor in 2015, he allocated 11,611 euros;

and so far in 2021, 10,760 euros.

Among the depositories of the regidor's periodic donation are associations such as Amigas al Sur, Calor en la Noche,

Delphi former workers,

the Dora Reyes Foundation, the Three Wise Men association, Autismo Cádiz, Princesa Rett, Ánfora Association, platform for the 112 strike, SOS Callejeros, solidarity action 'Viento del Este', group of cleaners from the company Expertus, Autismo Cádiz, ADACCA, Virgen de Valvanuz soup kitchen, Afedu,
