Israel lowers minimum age for third dose of new crown vaccine

  Currently, the number of people who can be vaccinated against the new crown in Israel is over 12 years old.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Health, starting from the evening of the 29th, all people who have received two doses of the new crown vaccine for more than 5 months can receive the third booster shot.

  Israel launched the new crown vaccination work in December last year, and began to vaccinate adults with impaired immune systems such as cancer or organ transplant operations on July 12 this year.

On July 29th, Israel announced the third dose of vaccination for people over 60 years old, and on August 24th, the scope of the third dose of vaccination was extended to people over 30 years old.

  According to data from the Ministry of Health, after the third dose of the vaccine, the preventive effect of the new crown is 10 times that of the two doses.

  According to data from the Israeli Ministry of Health, as of the 29th, about 5.95 million of the country’s 9.3 million population had received at least one dose of the new crown vaccine, about 5.47 million had completed two doses, and about 1.96 million had completed the third dose.

  According to Israeli media reports, starting from October 1, all passengers who have completed the new crown vaccination booster vaccination abroad, and those who have completed two doses of vaccination less than 5 months or less than 6 months after the new crown has recovered, will enter the country. Israel will be exempted from isolation afterwards.
