The children of Gaza live daily an experience that is the first of its kind for them, thanks to the “Cinema Bus” project and initiative, which was launched by the local “Save the Youth Future Society” to entertain the children of the Strip and alleviate the psychological crises that afflict them as a result of the continuing wars and Israeli attacks. Through a new method that the young people of Gaza are not familiar with, which is to spread the culture of cinema among them.

Eight-year-old Islam Abu Shaweesh was eating popcorn, while he was watching with all his senses, accompanied by a group of students from the Modern Basma School, the animated movie "Ferdinand".

Child Islam Abu Shaweesh said in an interview with "Emirates Today", "I live a beautiful experience that I wished for while watching children on television frequent cinemas, to watch their favorite films."

The child Abu Shaweesh goes on to say, "Today my dream came true and I sat in front of the cinema screen, and watched a group of animated films, the most important of which were the movie "Zootopia" and the movie "Ferdinand." .

In an exclusive interview with Emirates Today, Al-Harbawi said, "Given the tragic situation faced by the children of Gaza, and the lack of cinema in Gaza, we decided to launch the idea of ​​the "cinema bus", funded by the European Union, to spread joy and happiness among young people everywhere, especially Border and marginal areas.

He points out that the cinema bus has provided its services so far to nearly 28,000 people, by participating in initiatives and entertainment days, whether inside clubs, schools, kindergartens, open and public areas, as well as marginalized and remote border areas.

The coordinator of the "Cinema Bus" project explains that the indoor show can accommodate 60 children and three children with motor disabilities, and that the cinema bus is equipped with solar panels, so that children can watch movies without the need for electric current, in light of the worsening electricity crisis in the Strip. besieged.
