The Taliban will allow the departure from Afghanistan of all foreign nationals and all Afghans with a travel document issued by another country, the United States and its allies said in a statement on Sunday (August 29).

"We have received assurances from the Taliban that all foreigners and Afghans with permission to travel to another country will be allowed to proceed in a safe and orderly manner to a point of departure for travel outside the country. "the statement said.

The text specifies that the signatory countries, including France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Australia and Japan, will continue to issue travel documents to Afghan nationals wishing to leave their country.
