Multiple carbon monoxide poisoning in a neighborhood house in Fogars de Montclús (Barcelona) affected 58 minors and 9 monitors.
Of these, 34 children and 4 adults had to be transferred in mild condition for observation to the Sant Celoni, Mataró, Granollers and Mollet hospitals.
Several units of the medical emergency service and the Generalitat Fire Department have had to act.
Precisely, around 12 noon these emergency teams have received the notice that there was this poisoning in the house of colonies so they have come to attend to those affected and have evacuated those who were inside.
Firefighters have searched rooms, showers, swimming pools and other facilities, but so far have not been able to identify the causes of the carbon monoxide leak.
In the house there were also four people in charge of the establishment, in which children and adolescents between 5 and 18 years old were staying.
Ten teams of the Bombers are still in the house to find out the origin of the leak, with the collaboration of the operators of the gas and boiler companies.
