After several delays, the first ride with the new ferry Aurora Botnia ended.

The ferry holds a total of 800 passengers and has two cargo decks.

Kvarken link, which is owned by Umeå municipality and the city of Vaasa, is behind the new ship.

The ship has engines that run on different fuel solutions and batteries.

The main source of fuel is liquefied natural gas.

The vessel will also be able to use biogas.

This is what the passengers thought

- I think it is very nice, says passenger Emelie Fransson, who was on the first trip.

- Spartan! I'm missing a double bed in the cabin. It's a bit more Finland ferry unfortunately, says passenger Mikael Norberg.
