Kuwait .. Referring a muezzin to investigation for raising the call to prayer while wearing “shorts”
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Awqaf decided to stop the muezzin of Abdullah Bin Jaafar Mosque in Al-Rehab area for raising the call to prayer while wearing shorts, and referred him to investigation.
According to the Saudi newspaper, Al-Marsad, a video clip documented by a mosque attendee showed the muezzin raising the call to prayer and wearing a white undershirt in addition to a shot, which sparked controversy in Kuwait.
In the same context, Kuwaiti media confirmed that the Ministry of Awqaf decided to stop the mosque's muezzin, and referred him to investigation.
