27 August 2021 After the great heat of the last few months, the rains arrive, the temperatures drop and today the yellow alert is triggered, by the Civil Protection, for 4 regions: Abruzzo, Lazio, Umbria and Veneto. 


Meanwhile, the Campania Region, taking into account the fragility of some areas, connected to recent rainfall, has issued a weather alert with yellow hydrogeological criticalities from midnight today until 14 tomorrow 28 August. Today the Municipality of Perugia announced that it had sent the request for a state of emergency to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and to the President of the Umbria Region, after the damage caused in recent days by bad weather on the outskirts of the city.



Weekend


In the North tomorrow many clouds, even compact ones on western regions, which will tend to disappear from the afternoon, starting from, with wide clear spaces, while an improvement is expected also on the Alpine and pre-alpine ranges, but from the evening; over the rest of the north clear or hazy skies. On Sardinia prevalence of sunshine with little cloud cover, except for low and stratiform cloud cover. The rest of the center is very cloudy from the early morning with weak scattered precipitations, more frequent and also of a thunderstorm character during the day in Umbria, the Lazio Apennines and the Adriatic regions. In the South and in Sicily: rapid, significant deterioration in Molise and Puglia with widespread showers and thunderstorms expected from late morning; consistent densities on Campania, as well as on Tyrrhenian Basilicata and Calabria with scattered weak precipitations,and clear skies or characterized by the passage of thick veils on the remaining south.



Sunday 29th August. North: compact densification on the Alpine border areas and locally also on the Apennine ones with light rains and some local storms during the day; over the rest of the north clear skies or characterized by the passage of thick veils expected in the afternoon over Levante Ligure, Emilia-Romagna and the rest of the Triveneto area. Adriatic as well as lower Lazio, improving from the afternoon on the related peninsular areas and from the evening on the Sardinian ones; elsewhere clear skies, at most interrupted by harmless thickening in the central hours of Tuscany and Umbria.

Minimum without significant variations on the northernmost Alpine reliefs, lower Lazio, Abruzzo Apennines, Cilento, Tyrrhenian Basilicata, Calabria and Sicily; down on the rest of the country; peaks slightly increasing on the Friuli plain, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, northwestern Sardinia, more pronounced on Tuscany, Marche, Umbria, Lazio and eastern Abruzzo; decreasing on Sardinian eastern coasts, Abruzzo, Molise, Apulia, Basilicata and Ionian Calabrian reliefs; stationary elsewhere.
