"The preliminary cause of the fire is electrical," says the statement of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Yaroslavl Region.
During the fire, in accordance with the instructions, the facility personnel turned off the ventilators.
The building housed 90 COVID-19 patients and 17 staff.
Hospital staff evacuated 76 people.
The fire is extinguished.
Deputy Governor of the Yaroslavl Region Andrei Shabalin previously denied information about the death of three patients in the Yaroslavl hospital, where a fire occurred.
Roszdravnadzor will conduct an inspection to find out the reasons for the incident.
