The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia Ivan Korchok announced this on his Facebook page.
“A group of 20 Afghans for whom we arranged a seat on the Norwegian plane were unable to pass through the Taliban-controlled checkpoint,” he wrote.
The Taliban threatened the Afghans with weapons, according to a foreign ministry official.
Korchok stressed that in this way the radicals have broken their promise, according to which they will allow the evacuation of citizens from Kabul by August 31.
The official representative of the radical Taliban movement Zabihullah Mujahid at a press conference in Kabul earlier said that the Taliban would ban the continuation of the operation to evacuate the country after August 31.
