A double suicide attack claimed by the jihadist group Islamic State (IS) killed dozens of them including thirteen American soldiers at Kabul airport, further exacerbating panic a few days before the scheduled end of evacuations of people desperately seeking to flee the Taliban regime.

The attack, carried out by suicide bombers at dusk, while thousands of Afghans were still massed at the gates of the airport in the hope of being evacuated abroad, left scenes of chaos and of desolation.

Yasmine, present at the scene of the attack and who was trying to take a plane to France, testifies at the microphone of Europe 1.

Everyone was running so I followed the movement and I went home. I have no words, I do not feel well, "says the young woman still in shock. Two explosions indeed took place near the airport, causing panic among civilians who were there. "I said but 'Help us! My god help us! Is being Afghan a crime?'. Today was a dark day for Afghanistan," she continues in tears. "It will be engraved in each memory but all that will start again, there will be more attacks", she again assured.
