As noted, two Turkish F-16 aircraft entered the Athens Flight Information Region (FIR) on the morning of August 27 without submitting a flight plan.

“At 11:17 am local time, they flew over the Greek islands of Anthropophagi and Makronisi of the Fourni archipelago,” TASS reports.

It is clarified that Turkish aircraft were identified and intercepted by Greek fighters in accordance with international rules.

In July, a Russian Su-27 fighter climbed to intercept a German Air Force aircraft and escorted it over the Baltic Sea, the Ministry of Defense reported.
