French international midfielder Moussa Sissoko has left Tottenham to engage with Watford where he signed a two-year contract, the two English 1st division clubs announced on Friday.

"The Hornets are delighted to announce the arrival of the very experienced French international Moussa Sissoko from Tottenham," Watford said in his statement.

Trained in Toulouse, Sissoko, 32, joined Tottenham in 2016 from Newcastle and wore the Spurs jersey 202 times in all competitions.

He delivered his best season for Tottenham in 2018-19, with a key role in his club's journey to the Champions League final, lost 2-0 against Liverpool.

Sissoko, selected 71 times for the French team, especially for the 2014 World Cup and Euro-2016 and 2020, could show his new colors on Sunday for the trip from Watford to Tottenham on behalf of the third day.
