It is a ballot which is not yet certain to hold but for which the candidates are already jostling.

The primary of the right warms the spirits at the end of August.

A candidacy so that “

France remains France

”, thunders Éric Ciotti and that the right remains the prerogative of the Republicans, one could add.

The deputy of the Alpes-Maritimes is indeed not very fan of the adventures emancipated from the shackles of the party and the temptation to go and play on the centrist ground of Emmanuel Macron.

So here he is in the battle to anchor his favorite themes in the future candidacy of the right: security and immigration.

Eric Ciotti who assumes to go hunting in the lands of the extreme right with a slogan: "more authority, more freedom and more identity".

No question of leaving the field open to Xavier Bertrand

Its irruption may however surprise because its political line is close to those of two other great ambitious: the leader of the senators LR Bruno Retailleau and the former boss of the party, Laurent Wauquiez.

But the latter hesitate, and no question of leaving the field open to

Valérie Pécresse

and especially Xavier Bertrand.

Because the equation is simple: the more there will be candidates for the primary, the more the pressure will be put on the president of Hauts-de-France, who refuses for the moment to participate.
