August 26, 2021 Abba's recording comeback is imminent. 40 years after its last performance, the Swedish quartet founded in 1972 is expected to publish one or more unpublished works. Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, had released the last studio album in 1981. The news comes from an internal source of the British "Sun". The wait is for next Friday.

"Abba Voyage" is also on the way, a film documenting the return of the line-up, from working on new songs to setting up a club in London's East End that will host their new hologram show. The venue will open in May 2022 and the performances have been dubbed "Abba-tars"; the source told the newspaper that all the musicians will be present at the opening night.

Last May Ulvaeus confirmed upcoming news. The singer had said: "This year there will be new music, that's for sure". The group, which has sold more than 400 million records worldwide, split up in 1982 to briefly get back together in January 2016 at a party in Stockholm.
