Announcement of the main data results of the third national land survey of 1.917.9 billion mu of arable land
This morning, the Ministry of Natural Resources held a press conference to announce the main data results of the third national land survey.
The third survey comprehensively investigated the state of my country's land use and established a national land survey database covering the four levels of the country, province, prefecture, and county.
Data show that my country has 1.917.9 billion mu of arable land, 300 million mu of garden land, 4.26 billion mu of woodland, 3.967 billion mu of grassland, 350 million mu of wetland, and 613 million mu of construction land.
The data also shows that in the past 10 years, a total of 260 million mu of land types such as forests, grasslands, wetlands, rivers, and lakes with strong ecological functions have increased. It can be seen that my country's ecological construction has achieved positive results.
The third national land survey is a major national situation and national strength survey, and it is also the basic basis for the country to formulate major strategic plans and important policy measures for economic and social development.
